Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you take insurance?

No, I do not accept or bill insurance. I am also unable to take patients with Medicaid or Medicare due to regulatory requirements. As a healthcare provider, my goal is to provide innovative, integrative and evidence-based care. Unfortunately, insurance does not typically cover the services and/or medications that I utilize. I believe the cost of disease prevention and optimizing wellness is worth it up front to prevent paying for it later. I offer my services at the most affordable rates possible so that I can help the most people reach optimal health.

2) What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept major credit cards and HSA cards. Payment is due at time of service.

3) Can I use my insurance for lab orders?

You can use your insurance for any "routine" labs that I order for you. There are some labs that may be cheaper to pay out of pocket with my discounted lab service. We will discuss the better/cheaper option during your Initial Consultation.

4) Do you offer discounts?

Current patients who refer new patients will receive 15% off their next service. Healthcare workers always get 50% off their Initial Consultation and 15% off all services.

5) Can anyone use semaglutide for weight loss?

In short, no. It is not approved for use in people with a family or personal history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in people with a history of multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2). These are very rare. Like all weight loss services, it is not for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. There are a few other conditions that may preclude you from being a good candidate but these need to be discussed individually during your Initial Consultation. Please book a free 15 minute phone consult for further questions regarding semaglutide.

6) I don't think I can give myself injections. What can I do to overcome my fear?

The needles used for weight loss medications are very tiny- the same size as the ones diabetics use to inject insulin into the fat under the skin. You will be taught how to give yourself injections. We will help you gain confidence with this new skill!
